OUR MISSION
Our mission is to protect and preserve honey bees through responsible beekeeping, education, and respect for their vital role in our environment and food supply. We are committed to providing beekeepers with strong, healthy colonies and our community with pure, authentic honey—carefully handled to preserve it just as the bees created it.
WHO WE ARE
Since 2014, Rolen’s Honey Bees has been dedicated to rescuing and preserving honey bees throughout Ellis County and the greater Dallas–Fort Worth area. Our services include swarm removal, live hive relocation, and managed hive leasing to help qualifying Texas landowners pursue an Agricultural Valuation. We also provide pure, raw local honey and are proud members of the Texas Beekeepers Association.
WHAT WE DO
Qualifying Texas landowners may significantly reduce their property taxes by using their land for beekeeping through an agricultural valuation—we make the process simple and hands-off.
For an annual fee, you lease professionally managed honey bee colonies from us. We place the appropriate number of hives on your property, provide all necessary equipment, handle routine inspections and maintenance, and maintain detailed service records to support applicable agricultural-use requirements. As an added benefit, you receive a share of the honey harvested from your hives.
Eligibility and potential tax savings vary by property and appraisal district. Final approval is determined by your local county appraisal district.
