AG VALUATION
Save on Property Taxes Through Beekeeping
If you own between 5 and 20 acres in Texas, your property may qualify for an agricultural valuation through beekeeping—potentially reducing your property taxes each year.
Although commonly called an “Ag Exemption,” it is actually a special property valuation. Qualifying land is appraised based on its agricultural productivity rather than its full market value, which can result in significant tax savings.
Whether you want to become the beekeeper or prefer a hands-off option, we can help. You may purchase hives and equipment from us to manage yourself, or lease professionally managed colonies through our annual program. With our leasing option, we provide the hives and equipment, perform routine inspections and maintenance, and maintain service records to support your property’s agricultural use.
Eligibility requirements vary by property and county appraisal district. Final approval is determined by your local appraisal district.
